Topic: Proofs to know against wahhabis

1) The proof that Prophet Adam was both a Prophet and a Messenger:
 
Ibn hibbaan in his SaHeeH narrated that abu dharr al-ghifaari asked Prophet MuHammad, “Who was the first Prophet?”

Prophet MuHammad replied, “Adam”.

Abu Dharr asked, “Was he a Messenger & Prophet?”

Prophet MuHammad said, “Yes”.

Also related by Ibn katheer and Haafidh ibn Hajar.
 

As for their mention of a Hadeeth:
 
They said: “Reported by Bukhaariyy (# 3340) and others, the Prophet described the Day of Judgement , and stated that all of mankind would seek intercession from the messengers in order that Judgement commence. So they went to NuH and said: ‘O NuH! You are the first messenger sent to the people of the earth...’”

The actual meaning of this is that NuH was the first to be sent to many tribes because Prophet NuH was the first to be sent to the blasphemers. It does not mean that Prophet NuH was the first Messenger out of all.

This thread in shaa' Allaah I will dedicate to putting most of the proofs I use to refute a booklet given to my friend by a wahhabi about forbidding tawassul.

I am slowly accumulating proofs by asking question by question to my teacher what is the proof for this and that, what is the real meaning of this Verse or this Hadeeth.

in shaa' Allaah once it is done it will be a very easy link to give as a refutation

The meaning of:

Surat Yunus, Verse 18:

And the meaning of Surat az-Zumar, Verse 3:
?? ? ?

   

These Verses are about the idol worshippers and the wahhabis take them to refer to the believers.

Abdullaah ibn ^Umar said about the Khawaarij what means: “They went to verses which were revealed about the ones who associate partners with Allaah and they took them to refer to the believers.”

Surat Yunus, Verse 18 means: <Those who associate partners with Allaah worship what doesn’t harm them and doesn’t benefit them and say that these statues are intercessors for us to God.>

Surat az-Zumar, Verse 3 means: <Those who associate partners with Allaah say “We do not worship the idols except so they can make us closer to God.”>
