Heavens?
« on: Tuesday 11 February 2003, 23:17 »
I know there are 7 heavens but I also see some websites saying "Paradise" too.

What is the difference between them and reading stuff about the Al-miraaj, why are the previous Prophets not in paradise instead in one of the seven heavens? (Example, Prophet Adam is in the 1st heaven)

Quote
In the seventh heaven, Prophet Muhammad saw Sidrat al-Muntaha--a very big tree of sidr. Each of the fruits of this tree is as large as a big jar. The leaves of this tree are similar to the ears of the elephants. Sidrat al-Muntahais an extremely beautiful tree. It is visited by butterflies made of gold. When these butterflies gather on this tree, its beauty is beyond description.

Then the Prophet ascended to what is beyond the seven skies; he entered Paradise. He saw examples of the inhabitants of Paradise and how their situation would be. He saw most of the inhabitants of Paradise are the poor people .

Does it mean that there are going to be people that are a HIGHER status than the prophets or can the prophets enter any heaven and paradise they wish at will?

Please explain :)

Ali

Do you mean 7 skies? Because there is one paradise which is above the seven skies, there are diffrent ranks in paradise but it's all in the same one, only one paradise.

No no no Ali

The prophets have the highest grades and status between the creations

قال الله تعالى: وكلا فضلنا على العالمين

The prophet peace be upon him saw examples of the ppl that are going to be in Paradise, for example, the poor ppl were not already in paradise, no, but Allah showed prophet Muhammad examples of them.

Thank you for explaining Servant of Islam :bro1

More questions :bro1

Do these 7 skies exist in OUR UNIVERSE? Does PARADISE itself exist in this universe?

I read that even the LOWEST RANK inhabitant in PARADISE is assigned 10,000 servants :stumped

True or not?

I have also read that the BIGGEST REWARD for those who will enter paradise is that they will be able to SEE the ALMIGHTY ALLAH.

Is this true?

Welcome brother

The skies are created now, and the paradise itself is created now, as we understand from the saying of the prophet peace be upon him when he told that he entered paradise in  the night of mi^raj.

The first sky is the one that u see when the sky is clear and no clouds exist, and the rest of skies are above it, and the paradise is above the seventh sky.

Did I answer your question? Hope I did :wave2

I have no idea about this, I never heared this before, but in shaa Allah I'll ask about this.

Yes Ali, this is true, the biggest enjoyment for those who enter paradise is seeing Allah ta^ala with the eye in the hereafter without Allah being in a place or a direction, different from the way a creation is seen.

They see Allah while they are in paradise and Allah exists without place.

If you want more ellaboration on this,in shaa Allah we'll post a special thread for detailed information.

I am REALLY into astronomy so I went onto research this :bro1

Scientists themselves agree that there are seven zones or partitions in the known universe although scientists do not call them skies. They can be clearly distinguished according to their constitution, substance and structure. As seen from the earth these are:

1. The solar-systems plus the gap to the next solar system (1-10 light years across Planets & Stars)

2. The spatial field of the galaxies (1000 light years away from our planet)

3. The spatial field of "Local Clusters" or the Milky Way (100000 light years, below)

4. The collective magnetic field of near galaxies (10 Million light years, bottom)

5. The cosmic band containing Quasars (1 Billion light years)

6. The zone of expansion containing receding galaxies (14 Billion light years)

7. The outermost field of limitless infinity (+14 Billion light years)

There are over 28,000 galaxies, each one contains over a trillion stars.

This is our home galaxy, aptly named the Milky Way:

ALLAHU AKBAR!  :cwt

So maybe Paradise is located OUTSIDE of the Universe but Allah knows best...

Yep that would be great. I do really think this needs to be elaborated more since its complicated although I do know Allah exists without time & place and He created the place but does not need it :bro1

Annoying thing is a friend said to me that Allah is everywhere and I said no :no2  then he said that how can he not be everywhere if he can see, hear and know everything?

He then went on to say that Allah Himself says that He is closer to us than the vein in our neck.

Can you give me an answer I can give him, preferably a simple one that he will be able to understand?

Thanks :bro1

Another thing, like there are 7 skies, there are also 7 earths.

By "7 earths" does it mean this?

 :hmm

Indeed, what he said is annoying, he meant that Allah is like air or light? Is that it?!
Subhanallah, tell him Ali, what u r saying is wrong orelse u r sying that Allah is in our toilets and under shoes and in nightclubs :notme
Does he acept to say that Allah is a body and it's in a nightclub because He knows what's happening there? It's not a condition

قال الله تعالى: ونحن أقرب إليه من حبل الوريد

No Muslim will say that this means that Allah Himself exists in our neck, in the neck of every human, this is ridiculous, the verse menas that Allah knows what's inside us and our thoughts and intentions, Allah  knows best.

No Ali, the one who drew this pic tried to represent one earth.

I meant seven earths, every one is seperated from the other, like the seven skies.

Any other questions ?

Like the Seven Skies exist in the Universe, are the Seven Earths also visible or are they hidden?

Also it is true isn't it that JAHANAM is located BENEATH the Seventh Earth?

Its not that I find it complicated to understand, I find it complicated to explain to others about the fact that Allah exists without time or place then the other person says "How does He know what goes on in this Universe if He does not exist within it" :mad

I then go further to explain the attributes of Allah but still he refuses to believe what I say...

He does indeed mean that Allah is noor that is everywhere but invisible.

Allah knows best :cwt

No Ali, the rest six earths are not hidden, but they are far far away from us and that's why we can't see them, on these earths there is no living humans.

Yes, this is true Ali
