Dear moussa28
you said:
I was always wondering, why after saying there is only one god, Allah SWT he have to say Mohamed is the messenger of Allah SWT.
Is not a form of Shirk ?
Shirk is to believe that there is a partner for God in his domain.
like if someone believes that Allah created humans and someone else created Jinn. for example.
That is shirk because there is only One creator, and that is Allah.
I want to know why he have to say in the same sentence Allah SWT and the Prophete MOhamed SWS ?
Thank you for your reply and assalam aleykoum.
We say it because to become a Muslim we have to believe that He sent prophet Muhammad as his messenger.
And the meaning of that : We have to believe that what he said was true. Allah sent him to the humans and Jinns to teach them the religion.
You may understand it better when we look how Allah ordered us to pray the five prayers, but did not mention how to perform them or how many rak3ah's each are. Allah gave Prophet Muhammad the duties of learning how to preform them and to teach that to us . And he surely did.
Dear
There are many hadiths in which Prophet Muhammad told people to say the two testifications qnd not just one.
A person is not a Muslim if he believes that there is only one God but he does not believe that Muhammad is his prophet and messenger.
Allah ordered us to take from Prophet Muhammad our religion. Look up in the Quran surat al Hashr ayah 7 , it says what means :
'' whatever the messenger commands you, act upon it. (And whatsoever he forbideth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah) fear Allah in that which He commanded you. (Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal) when He punishes; this is because they said to the Prophet (pbuh): “Take your share of the spoils and leave us to deal with the rest of it”.
Surat alahzab aayah 45-46
(O Prophet!) He means Muhammad (pbuh) (Lo! We have sent thee as a witness) that you have conveyed the message to your nation (and a bringer of good tidings) i.e. Paradise to whoever believes in Allah (and a warner) against the Fire for those who disbelieve in Him.
(And as a summoner unto Allah) unto the religion and obedience of Allah (by His permission) by His command, (and as a lamp that giveth light) and taken as an example to follow.
Dear
A sincere advise to reject any doubts the devil tries to plant in your heart about the religion. And steadfast on being and remaining a Muslim.
If you need any more details, please do not hesitate to ask, May Allah enable us to do good.
