How do we obey God?
« on: Thursday 11 February 2010, 23:13 »
By the Qu'ran..
What does God expect of us?
In return for being faithful, what does He promise us?
And in return for your faithfulness, what has He personally done for you?

Almighty Allah has given us the perfect source of guidance in the for Quran . The second most authentic source is hadith. Following both Quran and hadith properly we can obey Allah well. In reward of obeying Allah to the best of the ability, there are great benefits and rewards both in this life and the life hereafter.

Dear TruBeauty100

Allah Expect from us to fullfill the reason that we were created for which is to worship him.

In the Quran : (51:56)

{ وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلإِنسَ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ }

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except that they may worship Me: the fact that disbelievers do not worship [God] does not contradict this [statement], since a purpose does not have to be realised [in an act, for it to be valid], as when you may say: ‘I sharpened this pencil in order to write with it’, even though you might not actually write with it.

2- what does Allah promise us if we are faithful :(38:50-54)

{ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ ٱلأَبْوَابُ }

Gardens of Eden (jannāti ‘Adnin is either a substitution for, or an explicative supplement to, husna ma’ābin, ‘a fair return’) whose gates are [flung] open for them;

3- Personally what did he do to me:

That cannot be listed because everyday he does so much for me example: gives me life every day, enable me to see, touch, smell, smile , think , health, air, sun, ability to work, pray, walk, drive, ......

I hope this reply answers your questions and hope to read more of your posts in the future.

Best regards
