The administrators and moderators of the forums of talkaboutislam.com try their best to check as many as possible of posted messages on the forums, but it is not impossible that they simply miss one or more messages.
Every message or post express the point of view of its Author, and not the owners of the forums talkaboutislam.com. It is the AUTHOR of any message who is legally responsible of his words.
These are the policies/rules of our forums:
The forum talkaboutislam.com conforms to the great values of Humanism and tolerance and in respect of the teachings of islam. The forums talkaboutislam.com take part in the fight against racism, antisemitism, discrimination, sectarism, exclusion, and extremism, especially that of fanatic nature. talkaboutislam.com aim is to allow its members to Talk About Islam in a respectful, decent and constructive environment. Suggestions from the participants are strongly encouraged.
The forums of talkaboutislam.com welcomes all kinds of expression in respect of our rules of use of our site and forums.
In order to maintain the high quality of debates and discussions on our site and forums, every single member subscribed to the forums of talkaboutislam.com must respect the following :
* All kinds of racist / antisemitic remarks would be automatically removed and the author of those might be immediately banned.
* Any message that propagates any diffamation of any kind will be automatically removed.
* Every comment about a brother or sister that aims at putting one's self as a judge who tells who is what will be deleted. (for example: ''sending'' to hell a brother or sister, or simply throwing in his or her face the word "kufar" or unbeliever etc..)
* All kinds of comments that show intolerance, lack of respect towards any member
* The forums of talkaboutislam.com is not a place where you stick up any advertisement. Any attempt at abusing our site, forums, or members, via questionnaires, votations, petitions, and other forms of promotion or advertisement would be deleted and its other might be immediately banned.
* Any attempt seeking any kind of donations from our members must be first examined by the team of talkaboutislam.com in order to be validated.
* The site talkaboutislam.com reserves the right to procede to the immediate deletion of any kinds of links to any site if the team deems the link inappropriate or not in accordance with our rules and policy.
* The site talkaboutislam.com reserves the right to be very cautious and even being at times aggressive in applying certain rules, if the moderators deems that as necessary to maintain the policy of our site and forums.
* Any thread or post that could create indecent, offensive environment in the forums shall be modified / removed and the sender will be warned. Posts containing indecent, foul, offensive or abusive language or insulting and derogatory to other members shall be removed and the sender will be warned.
* Do not deviate from the Thread opened for a discussion on a particular topic. Please don't derail discussions by irrelevant side-topics. Open a new thread in such cases.
Any posts containing defamation of, insults, ridicule or making a mockery of:
* Allah (God)
* Divine texts (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)
* Prophets and Messengers and their acts and sayings.
* The Rules of islam
* The Companions or disciples of any of the Messengers
* Any other religious practices, personalities, places, items etc. which are not stated in the above points, and are deemed sensitive by other members or the moderators will not be tolerated. Showing any disrespect towards them is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Any posts that contain deliberately distorted and/or misinterpreted material may be removed. This will be at the discretion of the moderators.
DO NOT try to usurp the Moderator's role. Leave it to the Moderator to deal with unacceptable submissions.
DO NOT use obscene or sexually explicit language, racial epithets or hateful words, or variations spelled to suggest such words.
DO post notes of encouragement to others and prayer requests.
DO post questions, comments, experiences, and ideas that relate to your experiences.
DO NOT USE ALL CAPS IN YOUR MESSAGES, AS THIS IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING AND IS DIFFICULT TO READ.
Any violations of the above rules may result in the posts being removed, edited or the thread deleted. Repeated violations may result in strict actions imposed by the Moderators.
These policies are not exhaustive, however, these are the minimum, which we will enforce to allow for a smooth functioning of our forums. Please feel free to suggest any new rules that you think we might have missed. These policies may be updated at any time based on additional feedback.
